TS 6 position chip

After googling every review, forum post, etc about the various chips, it appeared the favored chip for plug and play was the TS 6 Position. I just got it and installed it today.
Not a lot to say other than "MONEY WELL SPENT".
This 7.3 of mine has come to life like a brand new truck. Immediate throttle response, black smoke, squealing tires, etc.
I am still shocked at how much difference I feel from a simple plug and play chip.
Highly recommended to anyone who is considering trying it.

Did you simply buy the 6 position chip from TS Performance ("Canned Tunes") or did you buy a 6 position chip from DP Tuner, Gearhead, PHP, etc with custom tunes?

Great to hear you like the results!

I hope you at least have an egt guage to monitor exhaust gas temps. If not, you need to get one asap before you hurt your truck. You can be putting your chip to the test without one.

So you guys bought the "canned" tunes straight from TS Performance ($250?) or are these a TS Style chip with DP/Gearhead/php/etc tunes on them?

Sorry to sound newbish, but I'm trying to figure which way I want to go. Its mostly a tow rig/plow truck so a little more pep would be nice but I don't need to go crazy on custom tuning.

Yeah, these are the canned tunes. I'm on a budget so I'm happy with it although custom tunes are better no matter what. If you can afford custom, I say do it.

Not to burst anyones bubble here but php has some of the best tunes and the phoenix chip is only $295. just something to think about.

canned tunes on a ts chip is not so terrible, but you will definitely get the best for your truck paying the add $45.

Thanks for the info. With the relative ease of swapping tunes, I will look at custom tunes for down the road.
