Muffler Delete

I have a Volant 4" Turbo Back exhaust on my truck that is bling and sounds good, but its not very loud. The exhaust was really designed to minimize cab noise, but I really want my truck to be loud and roar once I hit the go peddle.

If I take the muffler off and replace it with a straight pipe how much turbo boost will be lost due to backpressure? If im going to loose alot of boost its not worth it.

Suggestions and or comments please!

Nice to hear! I am going to try and do it today if I can find a piece of 4" pipe that is long enough to replace the muffler. If I dont like it, I can always go back to the muffler with minimal financial loss.

Is it true that if I flip the muffler around so that if flows the wrong way it is the same as doing a straight pipe?

Measure your muffler and see what the total length is. Does volant sell a muffler delete? The reason I ask is I have a silverline and they don't sell a delete pipe, but my muffler was the same length as the mbrb's muffler delete pipe, so I used it. Never heard of the muffler flip before

Ok finished the muffler delete earlier and drove the truck around for a while. I lost alot of boost and the truck is now sluggish. I could easily hit 10psi with 3/4 throttle before, tonight I had it to the floor and I barely broke 10psi. Im going to leave the muffler off for a while and see if I like it while towing. But the muffler and weak sound may be coming back, to get my boost back.

Oh almost forgot, the truck sounds bad A$$ and it roars.
