Walker BTM installed, expectations?
So I did a ton of reading before deciding to install this muffler. My 13 year old stock muffler was on its last leg. By the way, I have a non-catalyst truck. The BTM is welded on and painted nicely with some black stove paint (painted the rest of the exhaust while I was under there). The BTM sounds fine, not too much different than stock, a little throatier at certain RPMs but that's about all I noticed so far. I did make sure I had the inlet on the correct side when installing the muffler. I did some test driving and I haven't noticed a big difference in max EGT's yet but can say that the EGT temps drop much faster when I crest a hill then with the stock muffler.
I was wondering if this was inline with what others were experiencing or should I be seeing more of an EGT drop? Just curious. I had to replace this muffler anyway and the BTM was dirt cheap so hey any benefits are just gravy.
