EGT's with stock truck with tunes

Should I be concerned about EGTs on a stock truck other than a PHP Phoenix that I generally run 65 Hp dd or 80 hp dd?

EGT's with stock truck with tunes

Ok, of course I'm concerned about it. Does anyone have some numbers from monitored EGT of stock trucks and tuned trucks? Would it help tremendously if I deleted the muffler? I'm trying to keep my truck as pristine as possible. It's an 01 ECSB with 80k

I ran canned SCT tunes on my truck with stock exhaust. Never saw EGT's over 950-1000 with getting on it fairly hard. I was mostly driving like grandpa though. (Trying to go for high mpg's)
I did however take the tunes off and go back to stock.

My truck performance wise is stock, well a 6637, but that is more for filtering than it is performance. Anyway, cruising i usually see 400-450 ish on flat ground, and 5-800 on hills pulling in 6th. Highest i ever saw was 9-950 getting on it good up a hill. I have not had my guages for very long though so might see some more severe temps on really big hills. Hope this helps.

To add to that as well, my truck has a cat with the stock system so im sure that increases egt's vs some 7.3's that came without them.
