Whats the best chip for my truck?

I have a 99 7.3 L diesel and the chip I had in it went bad. It was a Bully Dog Auto 6 Position 4-Bank Chip. Im wanting to put another one in but not another Bully Dog. The mechanic that worked on the truck said he would go with an Edge product? Whats everyone's thoughts on what I should put back in?

kendallchcm, the reason y the chip is out is bc the truck will not run with it in there. This is my 1st time owning a diesel truck, so therefore I will be asking alot of questions. Sorry in advance, lol. So what do I have to do in order to reflash it back to stock? I guess, thats the first place to start, right?

so today I go out to start the truck, and it will not start!! I live in southern Ohio, where the high is about 20-30 degress everyday. Could there possibly be something else wrong with this thing!

It turns over great, but will not start. It did that before, it would turn over and sometimes start and stay running for a bit and then shut off. Dont know whether to take it back to the shop or if I need to get another chip and go from there?
