Just ordered a T-500 from DP-Tuner today and was wondering what you guys that have them thought of it. Was there a noticeable performance increase or just a little bit? Any other little tid-bits about the pump are welcome.

You won't be able to get a simple yes/no answer for that, there are too many unknowns. If your stock and your HPOP is healty then you won't notice any difference. If your modified and your HPOP isn't keeping up then it will be a huge improvement. What is your setup and have you checked your ICP yet?

Right now I'm stock but yes I checked the icp. Was reading WAY off as in it wasn't. it anew one on and it reads low. Also it takes quite a few cranks to fire. Gonna upgrade injectors in the future so may as well put a new one on so I don't gotta do it later

If your reading really low then it will make a big difference. My 00 was doing 1800 PSI at WOT on a 120HP DP tune, upgraded to a SRP-1 which supplied every bit of ICP that Jody calls for in his tunes and the difference was huge.

If your old HPOP was weak, then you will definitely see a difference. Even if the old HPOP wasn't weak, it is a good way to prepare for future upgrades. The T500 will not disappoint you.

How do you tell if your HPOP is weak? I have a scan gauge ii and my ICP ranges from 460 psi (hot idle) to 2850 psi (WOT). My IPR ranges from 9-48. With 445,000 miles on it just wondering if it's getting weak. Thanks!

Sounds like your HPOP is still good.

2850 PSI on a stock HPOP is not bad. Many tunes will ask for 3000+ but I wouldn't bother upgrading it unless your planning on upgrading injectors too.

ive got an engine light that comes on mine when im WOT. was told it was the HPOP. its a custom tune from a shop around here. would the t500 be enough to keep up with that? stock injectors, just a hot tune.

(tune may come off when i find out what it is. just got the truck and im leaning towards a DP infinity for it)

The T500 would be WAY more than enough to keep up with any stock injectors.
