Autometer Triple Dash Pod Install

Instructions say to remove the radio head unit? Is this necessary? From the instructions, it is unclear why.

I would not think you would have to remove the radio. You just need 12v key on power, 12v key off power, and a ground source. the rest is hooked up to whatever your guages are reading. there is probably a diming power source that will need to be wired as well.

Looks like they sent me the wrong one. The one I received sits on top of the dash. I guess the radio has to come out to drill a hole and route the wiring.

Not to be rude but what were you expecting if it was labeled dash pod? I was always curious how well that looked and worked but not many people seem to have them.
