Installed the Beans 6 position Chip
Did quite a few things to the old 7.3 (02') this week. Threw in some Isspro EV2 gauges, Beans 6 position chip, 6637 intake from Riff Raff w/ cover, already have the 4" exhaust from the turbo back, and anything else the PO had done which I'm not aware of.
Quite impressed by the 6 position chip. It's way more driver friendly than the DP Tuner chip my buddies 02' has. Nowhere near as touchy on the gas.. Hell it felt like I was learning how to drive a truck again when I drove his with the DP.. Every bump I'd ever so slightly hit the gas and rocket the truck forewards lol
Decided on Beans just because he's 30 minutes down the road from me in Chattanooga, Tn (their tuning center)
Great shop, great crew there, they had some pretty sweet stuff down there. Said I can easily get 450HP for a couple grand and 2 days worth of work.. Pretty legit.. ATM I'm going to keep her as she is and see what I think.
if my computer is remotely close, MPG has increased greatly on the 10 mile test loop I drove. Normally the computer is about +/- .5mpg and I was well over 20-22 mpg.. If this is long term hot damn lol..
I know the truck had a tune before I got it. PO had gauges in it and what not. I'm wondering if he left it in some kind of mediocre tow mode or something from like a super chips or edge or something like that. If you pull out the tuner would it leave it in that mode? Just trying to see how some I got such a spike in the MPG..
BEANS so far is kicking ***.. Going on an 8hr trip this weekend so I'll report back some longer term #'s.
