To install Aftermarket VB or not to install VB.....

I am in the process of rebuilding the 4R100 out of my early '99 F250 and have been researching the best way to go about it. I am going to be purchasing a PHP hydra tuner to install. I am wondering with doing that is it still worth it to put a BTS type VB in it or Tugger kit or just leave it alone other than just rebuilding it. I have read alot of differrent stuff but haven't found anything specific to this question. Any short answers?
