Dp moates qh ?

First off let me start by saying I'm new to diesels. I Don't know all the acronyms for each sensor and so on. I have a moate qh I use on my 90 eaton supercharged 347. So now to drop all my questions.

I have a 2001 f250 4x4 crew cab 4x4 7.3 auto. I know there are many mods I can do but I need to know if everything is all right to start with. It seems to run fine but mpg sucks 11 to 12 in town 13 to 14 highway. 4.11 gears and 285 16'' tires on it. I see where people say 19 or 20 mpg is this true?

Where to start? I have changed oil, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter. It seems to run fine. What all can i check to verify all is fine or should I take it to a shop to start with? Or can I buy the strategy and datalog for evaluation. I would like better mpg power is fine, I know power and mpg can go togather. And what mods first.

Looks like your off to a good start as far as changing fluids.

The 4.11s and 285s are probably your biggest problem as far as mileage goes. I would put bigger tires on or drop gears to 3.73. That would gain you a few mpgs.

I would start by getting gauges, exhaust and then a custom tuner and you could possibly see a couple more mpgs after the excitement wears off from the tune and you learn to keep your foot out of it again.
