T4 turbo now a weird sound

Hey ever since i did my T4 turbo the turbo spools and makes a wind sound almost and i dont know it that is right. it spools up and is hissing like a turbo then i makes a different sound when it gets to about 20-30 psi and makes this weird sound and it kinda feels like it looses power i dont know could it need to be retuned for this turbo?

Well, I do know that past the whistle, a turbo will start making a large air sucking (wind) sound because it is actually doing that! Lol.

Now as far as slowing down, not sure on that. Might be running out of fuel.

probably the wastegate, do you have a boost fooler?

that weird noise would most likely be the waste gate opening up. what turbo are you running? internally gated or external gate? My turbo Camaro makes a different weird noise when my gate opens up on 10# when i'm running pump gas, and even with my external gate plumbed back into the down pipe it makes a very recognizable "exhaust leak" sound inside the car

Turbo sounds completely different. It sounds wicked!! I love me Bell HFSB. Like others said, wastegate or no? I don't have one so I cant say too much. But I'm pretty sure you gotta adjust it too your needs

Are you running stock injectors?

yes i am running stock injectors but it is a s366 turbo from irate diesel and im not sure if it is internally wastegated or not at all i dont think it is

Could be a split boot. Can you pressurize your intake side and check for a split/cracked boot?

The wastegate is on the up-pipes. Right before the t4 flange. Routes into the down pipe too. It's an extra 800 bucks I think to get it with a wastegate. Jake told me to not worry about one till I start makeing wayy more power.

What kind of sound is it making?? I can hit 35 psi with mine and it keeps pulling till I gotta shift. And theres no need to get a retune. Not until you swap injectors

How much did it run? Where did you get it? What else will i need to install?
I was going to run a 38r but am looking at other options
