A racing buddy of mine has an 08 cummins 6.7. He just got it back from the shop and the did the dpf delete and mbrp exhaust, egr delete, intake and h&s mini maxx programmer. Apparently the thing scoots now, which is my problem...... I would love love love to beat him with my 7.3, but how? What do I need? Can this be done with stock sticks? I had planned on doing 5" straight pipe programmer/chip and intake. But I really wanna kick his *** in a race lol it's childish but whatever hahaha

Not with stock sticks. With 180s and a van turbo I stayed neck and neck with a h&s tuned and deleted cummins. Haven't raced the guy again since I got 250s and 366, but you will have to go pretty big to beat him good.

Van turbo?? And ya that's what I figure but well see maybe ill get a wild hair and go big but after all it's my dd and race car puller it's doesn't need much

Van turbo just has a a 1.15ar turbine housing to help with top end and back pressure. It will take a good bit over stock to beat a tuned 6.7 but it can be done.

Yes, they aren't intercooled so it is a little different to help balance out.

Iam not sure you are going to get there. my experience.... have buddies with decently modded 7.3 exhaust, programs and one has turbo mods not quite sure what, have another buddy with stock 05 5.9 and it will walk the 7.3's all day 4 or 5 truck lengths, i have 07 5.9 program and exhaust and I will walk buddies dodge by a couple trucks. Then by buddies 08 6.7 deleted and program will leave me. So you got some work ahead of you. I dont have any experience with running injectors in a 7.3, but I am building a 02 450 for work in hopes a programmed and aftemarket injectors 7.3 will be simliar to my 5.9

238s or 250s and a 66mm with supporting mods will walk on a tuned 6.7 HARD.

I kill my friends 6.7 all day long at least 6 times from top to bottom. But I give him credit cause he'll come back for more with no shame. He has the stock turbo with some kind of stacked chips and all the deletes.
