Kicking Edge to the Curb.
Few months ago I sold my 95 OBS 7.3 and bought a 2000 7.3. Its an auto trans recently rebuilt and came with the edge cts juice w/attitude. Now for the last few months I have left it on the truck just to try it out and to be honest I dont like it. It doesnt always read all the gauges I have selected and sometimes will randomly read that my trans temp is 225 or couple times it has said 240.... just driving regular not pulling anything. scared the crap out of me.
Also another problem I'm having is when i will be crusing about 50 up a hill or on flat pavement it will kick in and out of 4th gear... very annoying... anyone know why this is doing this? Also want to get rid of the edge and go back to regular gauges and a chip like I had on my 95. Where a decent place to order gauges from? Does anyone besides glowshift make a 4 pod? Oh and also truck came with 4" turbo back and I put DIY intake on it bout a month ago. |

Just a heads up around 50mph is the point where the truck will gear hunt. The edge is crap tho, so it's a good choice to dump it. Try out some custom tunes and you will really notice a difference in the trans.
