Programer reflashing

Anyone know, roughly, how much it cost to have a programmer reflashed by the company. I picked up a Power programmer III for free today but it appears to be VIN locked.

Not looking for advice on chips and how bad tuners suck. Just wonder if anyone might know.

I dont tow or haul anything... well in the summer I will be pulling a pontoon. but thats about it.

Like the tuner cause I can adjust for tire size and shift points. Not looking to race or blow smoke. Im completely stock besides lift and tires.

Plans for 4 inch turbo back with no muffler.

Thanks for any input

Ryan

I had a PP3 locked because my PCM died. Hypertech said it would be roughly $250 to have it unlocked. I ended finding another one on sale for $299 w/free shipping. I figured by time I paid to ship to / from Hypertech, I'd be close to that anyway. So I bought the new one.

You may need to contact them to find out if their prices have changed any.

Just spend the money to get a custom ts chip.... Or spend the money to get the hypertech reflashed, then spend the thousands on a rebuilt trans when the hypertech destroys it.

I must be lucky then. I've run the Hypertech PP3 for several years (between the two talked about above). My tranny shifts well and is working fine. I bought the truck in '05 with 109,000 on the clock. I've run Hypertech for at least 4 of the seven years I've had the truck. I just hit 192,### at my last fill up. The only issue I've had with my tranny in that time is the front seal started leaking. Got it fixed (5 years ago), all good here.

We charge 200.00 to clear the unit as long as its an updateable unit. You will have to contact us with part number and serial number. Our Programmer will not hurt the transmission.
