Performance out of a 7.3

I'm sure this has already been posted, but can someone give me an idea of what it takes to bring a stock 2002 7.3 up to decent performance level as far as HP and torque? I know stock these trucks are around 200HP. Is that their limit? What options are out there?

What do you call decent hp? 350-400-450-500?

350-400 would be suffice. I'm not familiar with what people are able to get out of a 7.3 with reasonable add ons. That why I'm asking.

Really, so i buy a 7.3 in good sound condition and want to up the HP, I'm gonna have to drop a lot of cash to make it happen? How about a 75 or 100 hp tune?

350 can be achieved fairly easy. chip tuned by tw, php, dp tuner etc.
standard air intake, 6637 DIY, afe, s & b whatever flavor you like.
any 4" inch exhaust system.
that will get you about 320-330 hp
then you could get a modded idm by swamps should put you around 350.
400 hp same mods just upgrade the injectors to stage 1 single shots like a 160cc injector. might look into a valve body for the tranny to keep it together.
you ll probably either need a 38r turbo for stage 1 injectors or i just saw that a new wicked wheel just came out for the stock turbo that made 43 psi with single shots!
and possibly look into get a frx from riffraff or a full regulated return thats up to you.

Thanks for the info guys. If i end up buying it, I'm sure i will have more questions. Thankfully my brother in law works on the 7.3, but doesn't do a lot of the performance stuff that ya'll do.
