SCT Canned Tunes

I have a SCT livewire for my 02 7.3
I only have the canned tunes on it. I keep an eye on my EGT's while driving, but I am concerned with how safe they actually are.

I generally baby my truck, and lately I've been more interested in longevity over performance.


I recently returned the truck to the stock setting figuring that is what would be best for the truck...I've also been tracking MPG's precisely in a notebook and by far my best mileage is on stock. (I spent two tanks on each tune, one tank was normal driving and one tank was very conservative driving)

Has anyone had any bad experiences with this tuners canned tunes? I assume that as long as my EGT's don't get high I have nothing to worry about...just wanted to get some opinions. Like I said....I'm all about reliability and longevity now.
