Tuner with factory exhaust EGT concern
I'm thinking about getting a tuner for my 01 f250 with 78k and am wondering if the EGT's would get too hot if I run say a DP tuner on 60 or 80 hp econo most of the time. I just want to keep my truck as factory as possible and add a little performance. Thoughts?

They can if you hammer on it or pull long grades or heavy loads
Get gauges I made my Samsung SGH-I997 send this. |

The best thing to do is get gauges first. Once you have those, then you will not have to worry if it is running hot or not because you are watching the temp.
Generally though, those tunes do not run very hot if you drive normal. Let me know if you have anymore questions. |

Cruising up longer hills on the highways it will easily get over 1250 degrees.
Absolutley get gauges first. |

haha dp 80e tune huh? On a 7.3 with just a tune I've never worried about egts. Unless you're pulling pretty heavy I wouldn't worry.
