Fuel form the tank question
I called a diesel shop in the area I am working in to have my Irate Diesel fuel system installed today. The owner of the shop is trying to talk me into having him do some kind of mod where it pulls the fuel from the bottom of the tank. The kit I bought comes with a 5/8" pick up tube. I was busy at work when the shop owner called so I didnt get all of what he was saying but I think hw said something with the word "sump" when he was talking about the mod. Has anyone heard of this? And if so is it better than installing the new pickup tube? Thanks!

Welcome to guzzle's In-tank Hutch Mod Web Page
Does that mod ring any bells? By the way...are you in local 798? |

no it's not the same
a sump is a hole and pick up cut into the bottom of the tanks |

![]() it definitely has advantages over the OEM draw straw |

The kit I paid for comes with a straw that upgrades it to a 5/8" one. Its only $160 for the sump installed so I'm just gonna have them do it.

wouldnt gravity become a help vs a resistance that alone should get more miles out of your fuel pump
