There are only two place's a Pyro Probe should be, in the UP PIPE or in the Manifold... The down pipe is the WORST place you can have it.

If your pyro is in the down pipe you must use 1000 as your red line, because any higher then that and you have NO IDEA what the pre turbo temps are. If its in the down pipe, MOVE IT...

First pic is a drill and tap, clean and neat, can be plugged later if needed.

Second pic is a drill and clamp, Very quick, works good, can leak sometimes.

Third Pic is the #7 piston from an early 99 and a post turbo pyro using an 1100 red line.

im looking into getting a 4 guage pillar. i already have a recon that monitors boost and egts. although i think im goin to go with a mechanical boost guage, oil pressure, water temp, and i need one more to fill the 4th spot any suggestions? i was thinkin maybe oil temp? alos what degree range do i need for the water and what pressure for the oil? i have put these kind of gauges on gas trucks but im just not sure about a diesel motor if the pressure and temp ranges are different.

Fuel Pressure... Next to pyro and tranny temp, lack of fuel pressure can leave you on the side of the road...
