4" or 5" exhaust

I'm looking to get a new exhuast for my 2001 7.3 I was curious what are the differences between 4" and 5" exhaust besides diameter. I have found them turbo back about 100$ difference.

Not much difference, the 5inch will be a little deeper....so a 4inch will be fine, but u will want the 5inch down the road.....just do it big the first time and save some money

Agreed. I like to go big on everything for my truck so I went with a 5". I found a 5" diamond eye turbo back with 4" DP for about $350. I'm not sure where I found it cuz that was 4 years ago. But I love the sound. It's deep and you can hear the turbo a lot more.

I went with 4" from Summit Racing $385. I like my MBRP. Sounds good. There is no need or benefit in a 5" besides a slightly deeper sound.

Not really. I got the diamond eye stainless 5" and I like it alot. All fit well and went together nicely.

Diamond Eye are a little less expensive I believe. I just went with MBRP because my buddy's had used their exhausts and liked em. Some people here LOVE their Diamond Eyes.

no difference between the two.
i bought my 4 inch diamond eye off ebay for like 270$.
you only need 5 inch exhaust if you have big hp.
for a mildly modded 7.3 4 inch is more than enough.
install of diamond eye was super easy in my opinion.

I just bought a 5" magnaflow. Exhaust comes with a muffler delete pipe. It's turbo back. For 290$ shipped to my house . I couldn't pass up on the deal from XDP.
