intercooler install ?
Well I am finally gonna put the 6.0 intercooler in my truck but as most people know the tranny lines are in the way.
So my ? is can I cut those lines that go into the tranny cooler then splice and redirect them? Or do they have to much pressure for a hose clamp or two? ~Jim |

I think a couple of hose clamps on each side should be fine. Of course, mines a 6sp, but I've put tranny cooler's on other cars like that with no problem

what kind of gain do you get by putting the 6.0 intercooler on a 7.3 and what does it cost....

|
gain is lower EGT's because the 6.0 is a lil bigger... and you can usually find them on ebay for around 300 bucks

do you need any kind of connecting boots or does it use the same hardware,- the trans lines
|

|
you would need diff boots.....because the holes on the 6.0L IC are a lil larger

You need some new boots, and a few clamps... IMHO its not really worth the trouble, I saw nothing empty and maybe 50-75 when loaded... I cut and extened my passanger side tube, but you can just order longer boots from NAPA...
