exhaust or gauges?

I've got some money in my "fun" account again and was wondering if I should get an exhaust or gauges first.

Right now I have a DIY intake and stock exhaust thats straight piped. Should I stay with the straight pipe and just buy the gauges for now? The week after thanksgiving Ill have the money for whichever I dont get now. Or just wait and buy them both at the end of the month?

Also I'll be buy a tuner around the end of the year. Stuck between Tony wildman and gearhead. There is a diesel shop near me that does SCT programmers and has a chassis dyno and can custom tune the SCT. If any one has real world experiance with any of these three(preferably had one then switched) your opinion would be appreciated.

I'd get the gauges, and get an exhaust shop to sell you a small piece of exhaust piping to remove that stock muffler. Then when you have the cash, replace the whole exhaust. Exhaust is going to take about 2 - 2.5 hours to install max. And then your gauges, you're going to need to convince yourself to do it. Go with the harder job first. Just my .02
