newb here with a 2000 f250 4x4 psd. i only have a 4 inch down pipe on my truck im in the middle of finishing it i want to end up with 5 inch turn out stacks anyways im gonna have the springs rearched to level me and add some 33 inch all terrains .. ONTO THE POWER i want power but safety i plan on putting a 6.0l tranny and charge air cooler in i heard only few mods are needed to do this and they are significantly larger but my truck has 160k on it and a everyday driver i want water meth inj and a bad *** controller/ module that is on the fly i dont care if it has gauges or if i have to buy mechanical ones... WHAT I REALLY WANT TO KNOW IS WHAT IS THE BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK WITH ADDING THE MOST POWER WITH HAVING THE MOST SAFETY. I have about 4 grand to work with im in the rochester ny area.

$4k for performance mods? Hell... here's what I'd do...

AFE Stage 2 Intake with Proguard 7 filter

AFE pre-filter

put 4" exhaust on if the DP is all you have

Good set of guages (EGT, Trans temp, Boost) or a Quadzilla Commander or equivalent digital guages (just saw a Dashpaq being talked about and looks SWEET!)

Tony Wildman or DP Tuner flip chip

Snow stage 3 water/meth injection

do the 6.0L IC and trans cooler upgrades.

you should have plenty of power with that and only be about halfway or 2/3 into your budget. Then you can decide on bigger injectors or a dual hpop system or lots of other options

oh yah, I was just gonna say and save the rest to put toward a tranny rebuild...lol

no need to waste money on a TC or VB with a higher mileage trans taht will likely need to be overhauled soon....specially with the extra power`

Yeah, ive read some threads lately about trannys will get fried much quicker even with the safe mods.

where can i get a good tc and valve body kit and what about that chip can it be programmed for tranny shift points and such i want it to SMOKE out of those dual 5 inch stacks
