foil delete mod? woth the time/effort
well, i was browsing around and noticed that people are doin the foil delete mod i have a 1999.5 -7.3 and do i have to take out everything? ex. battery, intake, box. is it really that hard to do, i have a wire wheel mounted on my lathe, but maybe ill do it when i come home from school tomorow, (man that buss sure has some whistle!) does it really increase the sound? thanks alot guys

I don't have a 7.3L but I have seen a thread on this before and am curious myself, so I will bump it for you.

I did this to my 7.3 when i had it. You do have to remove everything from that side.Took about three hours , the foil comes off easily it just hard to get all the glue off but the truck sounded great

You won't catch me doing it -- but lots of people love it because it allows more whistle...And is MUCH easier so I've read to take the pipe out and clean it.

its not hard to do at all... it was the first mod i ever did to my truck.... Foil Delete

i am going to do the zoodad mod tomorow too, along with maybe the foil delete (depends on how hard to take everything out is), i will take some pic sof the whole install thanks

If anything, I think it looks better without the foil on the tube.

got them both done in 2 hours came out pretty good, cant try it out yet, i have to weight till my parents come home to drive me me (i have no liscence yet) but it sure looks good, foil delete and the zoodad, next to come is the diy intake , thena tuner, then exhuast, THEN when i get 3 grand the lift!!!
