Filter first, so you at least have a motor left to mod
![]() Bigger injectors=more fuel. more hp/tq/mpg. More tranny busting power. |

Sorry to thread jack real fast but i have read a lot about the auto trannys going kaboom once we start modding our rigs. Well i waited a long time to find the right truck with a manual and am curious what the limitations are?
Just installed a South Bend 375 HP clutch few weekends ago, is that about all you can do to the manuals to upgrade them? How much HP/TQ can these ZF6's withstand? Thank you, And to the OP i agree with 305, Intake is probably one of the most important things to pay attention to. having the best filter will save your ***. You hear a lot about people finding dust and debris in their intake tube with certain filters. i think the 6637 is a rgeat choice! Cheap and great functionality! Keeps sh*t clean! |

If you put in huge injectors and huge turbos, yes the trans will blow up (auto). A good tc and vb will make it live a long life. All a zf6 needs is a good clutch to last.
