Downloaded Evo tonight!

Well I put in a j/a for a buddy awhile back and tonight he let me download his evo into my truck....and wow did it make a difference, in first gear I stomped it and it instantly broke loose letting out a huge cloud of smoke, then I looked at my tach and she was creepin on 3400 pretty quick...now since I was able to download the evo does that mean I do not have a chip? because if i don't have a chip I definately have injectors which makes me happy since there expensive as he**...also how do custom dp tunes compare to the evo?

Yeah if you had the chip it would just overide the tuner. Custom tunes will always be better then a tuner off the shelf.

Is your buddy letting you keep the EVO DP can put tunes on it

i agree with keeping the Evo and having them send you tunes from DP

Yea send it in to DP I looked at it and its about $200 for 5 tunes. What setting did you put it on?

Okay no i do not get to keep the EVO he just let me download it in my truck to see how I liked it. it was on level 3 EXTREME....I was impressed to say the least, caution though with my 6 spd. it WILL smoke like a freight train! theres a kid that I know that runs around and blows smoke on everybody, well while I was crossing an intersection he just happened to be in the line of fire of a very hard take off with more smoke than I have ever seen his 24 valve put out! He ended up getting mad and going home...so i found out he can dish it out but sure can't take it!
