New to Forum! Lots of questions coming..

Hey guys, my name is Kyle,24,FL, and I have been watching the forums for a few weeks now. Just wanted to introduce myself before i start asking lots of questions, the knowledge on here seems to be great. I just bought an 01' 7.3L F-250 Crew Lariat 4x4....122k miles......It is going to be my everyday driver, and i am looking to get some more hp/tq over the next few months doing this and that. I have been around heavy equipment and PSD all my life. My dad has a construction company with many PSD and all family personal vehicles are powerstrokes. I am not dumb and learn quick, but i dont really have extensive knowledge about the 7.3 motor. So i am looking to learn. So with my first question, which is pretty basic, the truck i bought has a tuner in it (believe its a super chip because of the sticker on the truck) but i do not have the tuner to get it out, nor does the previous owner, and its not a chip, because i already looked for that. So what are my options when it comes to getting the truck back to stock?? I am looking to go with DP or beans....Thanks, look forward to learning...Here is a pic of the truck, its clean, inside and out.....

No idea about how to get it stock other than flashed with a computer or at the dealer. Why not a PHP chip? I love Bill's tunes.

i have looked at PHP but havent really heard/read a lot about them.... That is the next question tho, what tuner?? and how do i get it back to stock?

You haven't been reading if you haven't heard much about PHP. I think i've seen more 7.3 guys running PHP chips than other brand... I personally wouldn't/won't run anyone elses tunes unless I go with a different engine ie 6.0, 6.4.

It's all personal preference I suppose. Bill writes awesome tunes, plain and simple.

Superchips SHOULD be a chip. Somebody prolly removed it before you bought the truck. Nice looking truck, btw.

PHP gets my vote as well. Having run both DP and PHP definitely run PHP over DP. Beans would e my 2nd choice. I may be wrong here so hopefully someone can correct me but I think if you install the chip it will over ride the tune on the PCM.

Gauges are a must before you chip the truck though. I recommend ISSPRO EV2 gauges or autometers. Don't run glow shift I have run them and they suck!

maybe 4 inch exhaust to lower egts a bit. all
4 inch exhaust systems flow the same
