DIY 6637 Intake
I currently have AEM air intake. The filter is dry flow and time to replace them so I want go bigger filter. So I bought 6637 filter and today I took them off and try to reuse the intake pipe because it is polished and 4 inch diameter which is perfect but bad news is that the pipe is too long and I couldn't get the 6637 filter on. Anybody got advice? Im trying to reuse the pipe and save some money instead of buying some pipe to make it work. Thanks!

Trim the pipe down... Or.... find some type of adapter (pvc works best... If its slightly off size u can heat it up to fit then clamp it down...)

Matter of fact... My 45 elbow is a little long also... I just stuck the extra deeper into the filter..... IMO the turbo whistle seems to be a little louder since it has more room for the sound to resonate... with no ill effects...
Fat fingers and little phone keyboards bont work well together... Sent from my SPH-D710 using AutoGuide.Com Free App |
