BD POWER ?? CHIP??

Hello, wondered if anyone has heard of BD Power chip for PSD? Friend has a 2000 7.3L and we looked at the pcm today and it has a BD power Chip installed...He bought truck as is..There are no switches or positions to change on the chip that we can find...Anyway to tell what HP chip it might be? It is faster than mine but as comparison measures we dont have a clue what HP chip it is...That way I can decide which size chip/ programmer I will get.....

The chip was available in 60, 80 and 90hp levels. Most chips have a label on it and it could be labeled. If the chip is labeled XXX then it is 90hp. If it is labeled tow or tow boss then is the 60hp. Single power only, no switch was available.

I have a BD burner and software for sale if interested. It works on windows 98, does that tell you it is old school or what.......

If you're looking for a chip you should check out DP tuner/Tony Wildman(total diesel performance) They are supposed to the best of the best and custom for you're truck so you'll be faster than your buddy for sure. I getting ready to buy one myself plus it will be switchable on the fly.

If your looking for a chip...just about any of the 6 position chips will tweek your nipples. There are many tuners out there that can do just about ANYTHING with 'em. I have a Diesel Innovations 6 pos tuned by David Lott. I love it. And when you upgrade your truck, all you have to do is send it back and have it reburned with upgraded tunes. I need to do that.

What does he charge to reburn the chip?

I don't remember...I think it's like $100 or $150. I have to call and see. I think when I do it, I'm just going to order another chip with the tunes on it so I'm not missing out on mine for a few weeks.

Ask him if he will do a chip swap. Tony and DP do it. They send you a chip with what you want on it and you return our old chip. I have my "old chip", all of four weeks old, in the truck now and another showed up from DP yesterday.

Ask, the worse he can say is no.....
