Torqueshift retrofit kit?

Is there any shop out there that sells a kit to retrofit a 5spd torqueshift transmission onto 1999-2002 7.3L PS?

Never heard of it. You'd probably be dealing with an elctronics nightmare.

There are stand alone controlers for it, but why? The 4r100 can be built just as strong (really stronger) then the 5r110

Just out of curiosity and because the better gear ratios keep the engine from lugging

Your looking at 8-9K deal to swap to a tranny thats really no better. For 4K you could get a JW or BTS. Not sure how you drive, but i never have a problem with lugging.

Second the get a built 4R100 from JW or BTS. IMHO the TS tranny just won't hold up to the torque of the diesel engine like the 4R will.

For the money and headache you'll go through to do a conversion you could have one legit 4r100 that you'll probably never exceed the capabilities of.
