New to the Diesel World - Performance Help
Hello diesel world! I've decided to make the leap and sell my gas hog for a diesel and I'm as happy as ever. I just got an 02 F250 7.3L with 75K. The only thing it has is an PowerEdge Programmer. I would like to upgrade this baby with the below parts, does anyone feel it's the wrong combination of parts? I feel that I'll get everything I want by doing this, I'm not towing to much only a 23ft. weekend warrior fully loaded with gear I might get upwards of 9k pounds.
Edge Juice chip with Attitude Monitor Volant Air Intake Gibson Single Catback exhaust system Any feedback is appreciated |

I doubt you have a cat so a cat back would not be necessary. Crawl under the truck and look to see if you have one. It should be under the passanger seat area.
Go with MRBP, it is cheaper and just as good if not better. If you want the best intake for filtration then go with an AIS or an AFE stage 2. Get a custom chip like Raul said, DP or Tony Wildman. Stay away from Edge, quality has been sketchy lately and their return rate is very high. According to the technical service dept at edge, not just me running my mouth. That is my .02 worth. And I know nothing about a 7.3 |

Your right, no cat. I just checked, it goes to show you how much I know about my truck. Just bought it but I've had no chance to really snoop around. I'll def. get to it this weekend. I'm curious you mentioned going with a custom chip, are you using standard gauges to monitor or using a digital display on top of the chip? Thanks for the quick replys.

Not cat means you go with a turbo back exhaust system.
Raul uses a digital unit and I use dial gauges. I like mine, if one dies I replace one. The digital unit dies, you have to replace the whole unit. But I would like to be able to recall some of the info after a sled pull or drag race to see how things are running. Some digital gauges have recall options. Custom chips are the only way to go. You tell them what you want and they program that on the chip. The edge stuff is off the shelf tuning, very generic and not as much time in making it right. I have run off the shelf tuning; superchips, BD power X chip, Diablo chip. They all were better than stock but after I ran a DP chip and a Tony Wildman chip they all sucked in comparison. Keep Strokin' |

Sorry about that Raul, I thought you had the dash controller for the edge.

Welcome to the .org!!! Looks like they're getting you all fixed up!
-- but want to throw out there, you can get a custom chip and have the quadzilla commander(digital guages and much more) to do the same as say the EVO 2 -- or you can stick with the dial guages and a custom chipor go one of the routes they mentioned above |
