dp tuner and tranny
I am buying a dp in the very near future and just want to know how long ym tranny should last i am going to get stock hi idol 40 tow 85econo and 100hp am i going to have any tranny problimes or should i be ok?

Jody does some pretty good trans tuning to help things out. Should be fine if you are not brutally hard on it. If you are concerned get a BTS or John Wood valve body. I would get gauges ASAP. You could monitor the trans temps as well as the EGT's. The pyrometer is a must. A melted piston would ruin your day.

Be sure and get the valvebody first so whoever is burning you chip can tune for it. No experience with wood but brians truck shop's vb worked great with the dp I had. The truck shifted a LOT better than with the evolution I had before it. The vb was cheaper than the chip, easy install, and well worth it. Check out Guzzles install page. Really helped me with installation.......and like mentioned above......get some guages.
