Intercooler tube questions
Ok this may be a stupid thing that keeps popping into my head but I'll give it a shot. I have been looking into some setups on high HP diesels with custom intercooler systems and seem to have noticed a largeer IC piping..My question is would it benefit a guy with a stock or upgraded IC such as the 6.0 IC mod to build custom IC pipes to a larger diameter and get them heat coated? Or am I being a nar nar thinking bigger is better in this case?

Anyone have any idea or .2 cents on the subject? Has anyone made larger IC tubes and noticed any benefit from it?

I would like to know the same thing. I have heard both the 6.0 would be good thing and no differences....... I would think it would be better??????

There's little reason to have piping that's larger than your smallest restriction as in the intercooler inlet or your spider so unless your upping both of those I don't see you benifiting from it.

Pretty much what Ken said. You can increase the diameter of your IC pipes, but that wont do anything.
Does --- ==== --- increase flow over --- ---- ---? Nope. Not really. |
