TS Performance 3 position chip

I bought an E99 F250 that has a 3 position chip installed. I removed the chip today and discover that it is actually a TS Performance chip and the knob can be changed to have 6 positions.

Does anyone know who offered 3 position chips?
Can the TS chip be updated to newer programming and 6 positions or would I be better off buying a new chip.

You can get the chip reburned with no problem but it cannot be updated to 6 positions.

On the chip, how many wires connect to the chip and plug. There will be one wire for every tune the chip can store + one black ground wire. There are a number of company's that can put custom tunes on a TS chip. I have BEANS tunes on mine.
