Wastegate mod??????

Hello I'm new here but have been reading posts for se time now but I have a question about modding the stock wastegate to increase boost psi I have the red tube in hooked and plugged the wastegate and with my 6637 intake I'm getting 26/27 psi at my gauge anything I can do to the wastegate as far as adjusting it to keep my psi the same and hook te red tune back up ?

Why don't you want to just leave it off?

I've heard it's bad to leave off for a long period of time and I got 236000 miles on this pig and I don't want any trouble. If its not bad to leave off I'll save my self the trouble but I've been seeing so many mixed reviews about it idk what's best to do !
