Re-tune before or after new injectors?

Looking into upgrading injectors. Just trying to get an idea. I have a custom TW 6 pos chip. Do i have the chip re burned before or after the injectors are installed. Can i drive the truck home from the shop with the new injectors the way the chip is tuned now? Probably just go with a stage #1 single shot injectors.

You could drive it with the stock injector tuning but it probably won't like it. Your other option is take the chip out, send it for reburn then put it and the injectors in.

You want the custom tunes after the injectors or actually the same time. You can drive the truck easy with new injectors on stock tuning. It will idle rough and be super super touchy on the pedal. I had to do that for about a wk while waiting on tunes. Just don't be racing around or anything and you'll be fine. Its an interesting adventure running stock tuning on single shots. You just barely need to touch the pedal to cruise around and I mean barely.
If you cannot time it just right, don't worry; you will be ok

Wow - this is great to know. I always thought that if you had single shots and your chip went bad you were dead in the water. Thanks for the info.
