6637 DIY HIGH EGT

Installed a 6637 DIY now see EGT + 200 over stock filter under same driving conditions. Boost pressure good will run sold 15+ WOT IPC and hpop all look good.EGT prob in left ext manfold stock 2000 7.3l WTF?

Ponder this, the 6637 will raise temps maybe 10-20* over stock system . . . that doesn't explain 200* increase in EGT's.

Your intercooler/rad cleaned lately?

At idle my IAT will jump higher and faster than the stock box did, but once moving the air temp is only 0-10*F higher than the stock box was.

Thats not sounding right at all... something else must have happened.

Did you leave the IAT (intake air temp) sensor plugged in? That's really the only sensor around there that you should have messed with. No way you should be seeing that big of a EGT increase though.
