suggestions for MPG increase
I just ordered an exhaust/intake. Tuner is next, had a friend of mine recommend Tony Wild Man 6 stage flip chips (Anyone own one or can give me their .02 cents about that?) What are some other "affordable" upgrades, like little DIY (bolt-on) things, that increase MPG/Performance. MPG being top priority.

Do the DIY 6637 intake. If you want to, straight pipe your stock exhaust or upgrade to a 4 or 5" exhaust. (With or without the muffler). You can do the zoodad mod to also get some more air flow to the filter.
I have a TW chip. Lets just say its a night and day difference from stock. I haven't had any other tuners but from what I've felt from a crappy banks chip (my dad has one in his truck. He still thinks its great and wont splurg to get a custom tune) to what I have now. TW has a really smooth and consistent power range from low end up to the top. The shifts are SUPER smooth and the power is always there no matter where you need it. I would highly recommend TW or from what I see from most others, Beans has equivalent if not better tuning, but they are also about 300 bucks more! Just cruise the forum and you'll find lots of little tips and tricks to help these trucks breathe better and get decent mileage. Just remember its a heavy truck so it wont get phenomenal mileage. One of the best things is to just keep the foot out of it and when cruising the highway keep it at the right RPMs |

If you want top dollar tuning, Beans and tony wildman have the BEST curves I've seen on a 7.3, but the beans seems to always come out higher in the hp/tq range.
