MBRP exhaust ?
Just bought an AFE stage II intake, looking to pick up an exhaust asap. I've narrowed it down to these two kits from MBRP. The aluminum performance series (4") or the PLM series (no muffler, 4" straight.) Both are turbo back. Which would be better for sound/performance (overall better exhaust and why?) Thanks guys for your opinions!

you can pick up a stainless magnaflow with no muffler ( it comes with a delete pipe ) for the same prices as either of those mbrp systems.... if i recall the plm is black? what color is your truck? I run no muffler or cat and love it.

Most MBRP exhaust models you can pick what finish alum/stainless/black. I wanted the black one, but for the 4" it's $550, I'm not willing to pay almost double, so I decided to roll aluminum. Just wondering the differences/advantages reguarding muffler/no muffler on a performance exhaust system.

* The MBRP 4" installer series exhaust w/ muffler is $385/shipped, I couldn't find a magnaflow for under $440. I'd imagine the one w/o the muffler will be cheaper yet.

i ordered mine through a shop that gets a cheaper price. they had it purchased and installed with stainless exhaust and stainless rolled edge tip for 500 flat. ( 70 dollar tip and 90 to install so i paid 340 for turbo back 4 inch stainless new down pipe and all

there is large benefit. lower egts, less exhaust back pressure, more hp/tq, and better fuel millage.

Here is the Magnaflow on Amazon for 339.00. How do I tell if it has the delete pipe instead of a muffler?
