Canned tuner question?!?!

Okay guys, my loving wife bought me the "new" bullydog triple programmer for my 2000 7.3 i know shes amazing (my wife) i just was offered a great deal on a used edge evolution set up with the probes ect. which one of the two should i go with? not going to extreme with my truck, its a daily driver, (i get diesel for free) just wanna have a shift on the fly settings, and the egt/boost readings... whats the recommemdation of the two?

Personally I have not used either, but from what I have read stay away from the Bullydog. I haven't read anything good about them yet.

I havent found anything on here on either of them being bad can you elaborate some of what you have heard about bullydog?

Man, what a good wife. My gf was going to buy me a 600$ stage III cam for my tdi for christmas until she heard me complaining one day about how I cant get one because i'd have to machine the sh*t out of my block/heads. But what a great wife you've got!

Only problem is, bully dog and edge aren't... good... at all. They burn up auto trannies (unless you have the add-on trans-command), they sky rocket egt's, eat fuel, advance timing a ton, etc.

truthfully, I'd sell the bullydog/edge, and without her knowing buy custom tunes. Or find a tuner who will load custom tunes onto the programmer and keep the gauges and dont tell her.
