Custom Tunes

What are the perks to having custom tunes versus generic tunes like the ones that come with a bully dog chip. With the custom tunes can you adjust where your torque converter locks up? I just kinda want to know what all I could do with a custom bruned chip versus the one I have.

Personalized shift points are a big advantage to a custom chip. Also each truck is different so its nice to be able to have the programs customized for the engine/ truck. I highly recommend Tony Wildman www.totaldieselperformance.com

I am planning on going with Tony Wildman. I just need to get a hold of him and find out what I need to do to get it done. What kind of times should I be able to run with a chip burned from Tony Wildman? I know a guy in my home town that I would really like to beat and I am just a little slower than him.

To be honest i really have no idea what a stock truck w/ just a chip will do. My superduty didnt stay stock long enough to take it to the track lol.

The main advantage for me was that I can choose what tunes I wanted to buy, the tunes are specific to my truck, not just good for "97-03 7.3l's", it is upgradable as I put more mods on the truck, and you can change it on the fly. I had a superchip micro max tuner before I bought the DP Tuner and there is no comparison what so ever. :drive:

I’m going to call him too and see if he can burn me 3 or 4 of his tunes on my TS chip and leave a couple of my Swamps tunes on there. I wonder if he will have a problem with his tunes and their injectors in my truck. I gotta get around to calling.
