I installed a banks wicked wheel on my truck this spring and it completely eliminated my turbo surge.

i was thinking about a housing to get a little more air as well also what about that van turbo what is it and what do i need to know to find one

The best way is either WW AND ATS housing or just get a replacement turbo, like an GTS or H2E...If I had it to do again...I would have waited and saved my $$$ I spent on my WW and 1.0 exhaust housing and just got an H2E or Fat Shaft.

whats that gonna run me and will the surge hurt my turbo

if you surge long enough it will kill your turbo, but the WW and ATS housing will eliminate most or all of the surge.

i also could use a little more air to clean my smoke up and cool it down a little bit egts hit 1300 with ease and she smokes like a ***** would the ww and ats help that also i sceen discount power parts has a 1.15 non waste gated housing would that be a better choice then the ww and ats

Not too sure to be honest if it will help clear up some smoke, or lower EGT's. I dont have the WW setup or the housing, but I know a ton of guys use it over the stock stuff. Maybe one of the guys that run these products will chime in and shed some light on your questions.

Think about how far you are going to go... Are you going to add injectors at some point?
I started with a WW, and it helped, then added the ATS housing, then added the TM wastegate rod, then swapped out for a surging POS garrett 38r, and now have a Turbonetics turbo... |
