stage twos
hey guys,
i have a question on stage two injectors....my buddy and i put the stage two do it yourself injectors in his truck a couple years back and hes looking to sell the truck...i told him i would be interested in the injectors and i think hes selling them for a reasonable price...my question is, whats the power difference and what else should i do while i have the injectors out? should i do the injector cup seals? is that a common problem on these trucks? the reason we did the injectors on his truck is because the cup seals went and he had the extra money to do them while they were out... any input is appreciated. |

Most Stage Twos are a 160cc single shot injector with a slightly larger than stock nozzle on them and can support 100-150hp over stock depeding on your supporting parts. With a stock fuel system, hpop, and turbo, 350-375hp would be a safe guess. With a turbo upgrade and proper ICP and fuel pressure, 400+ could be possible. Be sure to get the chip reflashed for the new injectors when you install them though...

Awesome. I knew about the reflashing of the chip but I wasn't sure about the injector cup seals....the truck is running right now andhas run awesome since we did the upgrade on it. He's towed heavy vehicles 500 miles round trip to vermont and back, plus daily driving. He said 500$ plus my stock injectors....I figure I would do it..

I did the cups/sleeves on mine just to be safe. Technically it would not be hard to do later if they are good now.

remember its always a good idea to change the injector orings anytime you pull the injectors

Thanks for the input guys. I'm kinda second guessing the injectors only because I'm trying to buy a house...I know 500$ is a good price for the injectors but, 500$ in the savings is a good chunk of change.in the savings.........I want the injectors bad but I want and need a house...either way, 2-3 months from now I'm going to kick myself in the balls...LOL...

To be honest I don't think its really that great of a deal. Those kits weren't real expensive at all. How many miles on them?
Sent from my DROID BIONIC against my will |
