New truck performance question...
So thursday I picked up a early 99 standard cab 6 spd. but pics and info later. So I pop the hood today to check everything out and on the map sensor there is a green wire with a black stripe. Someone has tapped that wire and grounded it out. Is this there form of a boost fooler? what does would this mod do?

Yep my truck had it but with a dp it will still over boost

so when you tap into that wire and ground it out, it acts as a boost fooler? learn something new everyday. Now I just need to find out if I have a chip I guess

when you baught it the guy didnt tell you if you had a chip or not? If he didnt say nothing then you prolly dont. But if it smokes a little you might have gotten lucky

it blows a little...but idk, not enough to get it hot. plus i've not gotten it over 2,200 rpms yet. It is strong, and has a VERY tight posi. If I pull my computer how can I tell if it has a chip?

im the fourth owner and the last owners wife drove it more than him. He also only put 1500 miles on it since january...
