i just bought a new bully dog triple dog gt fors my 01 7.3 and i previously had a 6 pos on it from bully anways my programmer wouldnt download onto the truck until the chip was unhooked. i was talking to one of the guys from bully dog and he said i could stack them but also said i could fry my ecm and id have to send the programmer back aswell to get fixed if it did, but i wanted to know how likely is that to actually happen?

Stacking is for Dodge not Ford. One will just overwrite the other get rid of at least one of them.

One of them is not working. When you flash the program on the ECM that is what you are using, if you put another on that overwrites the first. Our trucks don't fuction like the Dodges do with different controllers controlling different things. Ours is one controls all. If I tried to stack a superchips on top of my 6pos chip from Gearhead it would not work and would be useless to put it lightly.

You 6-position that plugs direct into the PCM will override whatever has been written into the PCM (your triple dog), so you'll only be getting the performance from the 6-position chip. 'Stacking' those style tuners/chips on the 7.3L will not work. One chip should be able to max out your current setup with the stock turbo, injectors, and hpop.

They haven't had problems with stacked chips cause one wasn't working.
I'm just reiterating what every one else said. If Bully Dog told you it should work, that is the FIRST sign of many that they are incompetent and you should never have bought one.

^^^ yep.

Tune goes on the ECM, chip over rides the ECM...ECM wins. CR engines like the 5.9 Cummins or the 6.6 Dmax can stack tuner and boxes but not so much on with the HEUI systems.

Bully dog, Edge, Banks they are all one size/tune fits most type tuners.
