Big injectors on stock turbo
My 2000 excursion is in need of some new injectors. I was just wondering if anyone has put rosewoods 238/100s or 200/30 on a stock motor. Im not planing on upgrading anything else. I already have the php phoenix chip and will have them change it to the fu2 chip. So i could get the whole thing done for under 2000 and that all i have to spend. If anyone has done this i would like to here how it turned out. I would also like to here what kind of power you can make on this set up. I plan to keep this truck and would like to be able to upgrade the other things like turbo and hpop as they break but not untill then I just dont have the cash.

lots of people do, your tuner can hold them back

the bigger question is do you have gauges?
as said, they can be detuned to not destroy your truck. keep in mind your trans will also need to be beefed up. |

Yep, added the gauges a while back with the anticipation of adding a chip and other stuff. ISSPRO - trans, pyro, and boost.
I just spoke to i think it was Jonathon at Beans. Due to my PMRs he is recommended against anything bigger than the stage 1s and definitly not recommending the hybrid. he is talking 160/100s stage 1s. Also they dont handle the AC type injectors if i chose to go that route. Basically he is saying that could probably run hybrids but 200/80s he would eventually blow out my PMRs ... especially with that fact that i already have 262k miles on the truck |

ya, PMRs suck.
The OP doesn't have to worry about that though |

Oops, didnt realize what thread i was on when posted, lol

Ya I do have gauges and intake and the stock exhuast with no muffler. Out of the two injectors i listed is one better than the other or less hard on stock components? Will i see any difference in performance than say 160/30 stage ones without any other mods.

yeah you will see a boost in performance but without an upgraded turbo you won't be able to get the most out of them. 160/30's with a sd66/38r would be a pretty solid 400 horse set up

Thanks for the reply bruce. I would love to have that but i just can't afford the turbo and injectors and tuning. If it was your truck what injectors would you buy? My absolute max budget right now is 2000 not a penny more and i have to have the injectors.

well 160/80's from rosewood are 1335 then you add tunin and you still come in under 2000 dollars, save another 1500 and you can get a 38r or sd66 and have a solid 425 horse set up
