if you don't have a chip then you don't have aftermarket injectors

A chip isn't needed, just recommended. It's possible to have a program loaded on the PCM or even for the PCM to be reprogrammed for injectors. Without a receipt showing what's in the truck, there is no telling what if anything was done. You could pull them out and send them to one of the vendors for flow testing but your probably going to have to just replace them so you know what you have and can get the proper tunes. However, if they are stock you can just get some good tunes. The 38r will work just fine with stock injectors.

well I was wanting to make some decent power being an 02 Im sure it has pmr's in it and I don't want to replace the motor any sooner than I have to. I think I may just go with a chip and a JW or BTS valve body for now
