DP Tuner...whats on it

Hey all, I just bought myself a 99 F250. Im glad to join yall.
My first question is this truck has a DP Tuner F5 chip in it. It has selections 1-9 and A, B, and C. How do I find out what each selection does? Also is this chip worth keeping in the truck, is it decent and is it going to compromise anything?

Got the DP F-5 in mine and love it. Allot more performance and almost 3 more mpg.
You would probably have to pull the chip and send it to them so they can tell you what tunes are in it. I would play with it a while and make sure you like it before you send it in, that way they could make changes to it to suit your needs.

If you have the PO's name or an invoice number of purchase you can email me the info and I can look it up if they got it from us directly. Otherwise, you can send it to us and it can be read off what is on it.

Will everything run well with it unplugged? Does it go back to factory settings?

it will go back to stock as long as the PO did not have anything done to the pcm, but most likely its stock. Pull it out and see how it runs. or do as suggested and check ea setting. As csipsd said; you could have old tunes and Jody's newer tunes are better than old in most cases i believe.

When I had my DP F5, I sent it in once for free updates, turned out to be better. I sold mine though cause I wanted to try a TS chip with php tunes. In my particular case; I now have much much lower egt's and I like the way php tunes are more.

everyone has their own opinions and there are many that love jody's tunes. I believe you can even send in the F5 towards an upgrade to the F6 if you wanted. Its up to you

I think that upgrade offer only applies to the original purchaser. Whatever you do, be sure to remove the key from the ignition before pulling the chip.
