Tranny Question

I have a 2000 with a auto tranny 69,000 miles. i plan on putting the TS 6 pos chip on soon.....How is my tranny going to react,
should i start thinking about upgrading/ rebuilding it now?
look to put in a aftermarket valve body?
start saving my pennys to rebuild it (how much time left)?
should i be ok if im not beating the s*** out of it 100% of the time?
let me know what you guys think..
thanks Greg

if you gonna go with a TS chip look into a valve body IMO. Also take a look at DP tuner and Tony wildman for chips there tunes are great and better for the tranny than the TS

A BTS valvebody will run ya around $250 or so and would be some good insurance.
..........and +1 on the custom chip.

BTS valvebody and custume tunes. TS tunes are not good on the Tranny. I had a problem with mine and had it reburned with new tunes.

i agree with both these guys... start saving your money... at the min. get a valve body and a tripple disk torque converter..... and then after that start saving for the big rebuild kit

I'm new to this site also. One problem I have is that I get refered to someone or someplace and have no idea how to get there. So here's the link to Brian Brians Truck Shop
I waiting for him to call me back right now.

What Chad T meant to say was that it "wasn't" hard at all to install. Just lower the valve body slowly and get ready for more fluid.

These transmissions can go at any time stock or modified. I went with a full JW trans because mine was mush at 90K. I like DP's shifts.
