hpop questions

Ok I have been reading a lot on the hpop's and have determined that I don't wanna and cant spend the $$ for big oil right now but I have read the early 99 has a lower pressure hpop so a good cheaper upgrade for me would be getting one off a 2000 + superduty correct? what is the 15* and 17* mean? how much of a difference will there be since I do have smaller injectors they should use less oil shouldn't they? and lastly will it be a direct bolt on or will I need to change other things? Do I need any special tools to swap pumps or remove the lines?

Its a drop in deal... 15 and 17 is the size of the plates inside... If your not seeing a ICP code now, dont bother...

well I am gettin my wildman tunes this week and then next on the list is a beans d66 and some hybird injectors from wildman too... my list of things i am not doing just got thrown in the garbage and the list of things i am doing just got bigger

If you get the 17* now... you can send it in and get it coupled with your 15* later for cheaper then buying the whole shabang.

if ur getting hybrid injsectors u might as well spend the money on big oil now and save the money ur gonna spend on the superduty HPOP cuz ur gonna need dual pumps with those squirters. and like in the perivious post, if ur not seeing a "ICP above/below normal" cose then superduty oil wont be worht the money/time spent. tho u will notice a difference in drivabilty of it prolly not much but a lil.

Yeah I think its a given once you get on here your going to mod the truck! I joined right as I was buying my truck got an oasis report and the rest is history!

I said the exact same thing about my truck! I said "I'm gonna tint the windows, put the tow mirrors on and leave it all stock" Somewhere I woke up and smelled the coffee (and diesel smoke)!!!!!

Needless to say I would be lost if I wasn't fully addicted to my truck and diagnosed with PMS.

my problem is my toy is in the pic below... thats the go fast toy.. the superduty is supposed to be the tow vehicle ...well I guess if you look at the situation it is, but its a fast tow vehicle... :whistle:

I can honestly say I havent had a stock vehicle ever I always have to mod.. I had a 98 gtp that I drove to Grand Rapids to have ZZ Performance tweek it too it was the 4 door family car and could run 13's all day long and get 28mpg..
